The annual Cowboy Artists of America (CAA) Sale is one of the country's premier Western American art events. This is the only time of year when the entire active CAA membership exhibits together, showing oil and water soluble paintings, sculptures, drawings and other media. This ticketed event, which attracts hundreds of collectors from around the world, is a full weekend of activities ranging from art demonstrations to gallery tours.

Different than a typical art auction, Sale attendees submit intent-to-purchase slips rather than place bids. The first person drawn from these slips has the option to purchase the work of art. This method not only proves exciting, but it also offers an equal opportunity for both the first-time buyer and the seasoned collector.

The Sale is a major fundraiser for Phoenix Art Museum and is organized by Men’s Arts Council. A portion of the Sale proceeds benefit the Museum and the Western Art Endowment Fund, which acquires Western art for the Museum’s permanent collection.

The Sale kicks off the Exhibition, which is open to the public and typically lasts for one month.
